our work

Our work focuses simply on people and on wildlife, the two of which are intrinsically interlinked.

The communities surrounding Morama are a geographically scattered and isolated, living on small cattle posts or villages. We have focused on building strong relations, providing employment, training and education.

The wildlife is a mix of migratory large mammals moving to and from the Okovango Delta, particularly elephant, with more permanent territorial species such as leopard that are based on the reserve all year round. With few other protected areas in the region, our work focuses on maintaining this safe haven and providing suitable habitat.

For ease of understanding and clarity, we have separated the description of these work streams here.
